Washington State Clock Hours

The Connecting Link offers the following Washington State Clock Hours courses through OSPI-approved ESDs. At the time of enrollment, select your preferred ESD; both are approved by Washington State.

Upon course completion, TCL will submit your certificate to the ESD. The ESD will enter your clock hours and contact you for payment. This process can take up to two weeks.

Who is providing the clock hours?

• NorthEast Washington Educational Service District - NEWESD 101
• Olympic Educational Service District - OESD 114

Are the ESDs approved through the OSPI?

• Yes, both ESDs are approved to issue clock hours in Washington State.

Who can take The Connecting Link courses for clock hours?

• Any educator in Washington State from any district or ESD can take a course. 

How do I get the proper documentation for my clock hours?

• Once the course is completed, we will send a completion letter to the ESD. The ESD will enter the clock hours into the PDEnroller and contact you via email with the next steps. Please allow up to two weeks for processing.

What is the cost of the course?

• Tuition for a 15-clock hour course is $100 due at the time of enrollment. Upon completion of the course, you will need to submit payment to the ESD for $3 per clock hour. Tuition for a 45-clock hour course is $195 due at the time of enrollment Upon completion of the course, you will need to submit payment to the ESD for $3 per clock hour.

Are any courses approved to satisfy the 15-clock hour STEM professional development requirement?

• We offer two courses to meet this requirement:
  • Integrating STEM/STEAM into your Curriculum (15 clock hours)
  • Integrating STEAM into your Curriculum (45 clock hours)

Are any of the courses approved to satisfy the 15-clock hour TPEP requirement?

• We offer the following courses to meet this requirement:
  • Introduction to the Differentiated Classroom (15 clock hours)
  • Building an Engaging Collaborative Classroom (45 clock hours)
  • Mindfulness in the 21st-Century Classroom (45 clock hours)
