Course Description
The purpose of this course is for participants to learn the history of coding, particularly in education, coding formats and how coding fits into the K-12 curricula, and how coding can help prepare future-ready students.

Global Goals of the Course
To deepen and/or apply the content and skills of the teacher’s existing professional knowledge base by meeting the following global goals of this course:

1. To understand the impact coding can have on student learning. (ISTE 1-3)
2. To help students understand how being introduced to coding in school can have a meaningful outcome for their future career choices. (ISTE 1-4)
3. To have a working knowledge of how you will be able to incorporate coding into everyday curriculum. (ISTE 1-2)
